Interview with Donald Richie

 When I first began teaching a course on Japanese Cinema, I invited the noted film critic and historian, Donald Richie to present a series of lectures on Japanese film throughout the Five Colleges, in Western MA. After his lecture at Hampshire College, I interviewed him in our television studio. Shot in April, 1983 with two cameras on U-matic tape, this is the edited version.
