An undated, unsigned and slightly decomposed 2" x 3" b/w, photo taken of my mother, Fela Ravett in pre- WWII, Sanok, Poland located in the south eastern Carpathian Mountain region near the Ukrainian border inspires the imagination to contemplate what her life may have been like during and after those young adult years.

In Poland she was called Feigele which in Yiddish means "small bird."
